1. Real photos, never an AI-generated image
Items for sale are presented with real photographs taken by the dealer. No images generated by artificial intelligence, no misleading retouched renders: what you see is what you hunt for. An automatic visual check filters out fabricated images.
2. Authentic and traceable objects
Antiques, vintage pieces, second-hand items: every object has a real history. Dealers comply with the rules of the antiques trade (object register, provenance) and take part in the fight against fencing and trafficking in goods. No copies or disguised counterfeits, no sale of prohibited items (ivory, protected species, etc.).
3. Transparency about condition
The actual condition is stated (perfect, good, to be restored), flaws are mentioned, dimensions are specified. A description written by hand, honest, rather than an automated sales pitch.
4. Identified professional dealers
Listings correspond to real dealers — shops, antique dealers, secondhand dealers, vintage clothing shops, consignment shops — with verified accounts. No phantom sellers: you know who you are talking to.
5. Human contact first
No dehumanised sales funnel: you talk to the dealer (direct messaging, "price on request", advice). Treasure hunting is an encounter, not just a click.
6. Ethics and recourse
Compliance with the rules of the trade (invoices, right of withdrawal for door-to-door purchases), moderation of content and the option to report in case of abuse. In the event of a dispute, we facilitate dialogue. See our moderation policy.
7. The spirit of the hunt: reuse & local
Giving objects a second life, supporting local dealers and physically travelling to the flea markets and shops of France. Treasure hunting is sustainable.
A dealer who does not respect this charter can be reported and removed.

Buying with confidence on OuChiner
The objects on offer come from professional dealers — antique dealers, secondhand dealers, vintage clothing shops, consignment shops — subject to trade rules, including those for distance selling. The transaction is made directly with them; here is how to hunt with peace of mind.
Talk before you buy
Unsure about the condition, the period, the material, a restoration, shipping or the warranty? Ask the dealer via OuChiner messaging or by phone — they are the one who knows the object. And if the shop is near you, nothing beats a look in person: treasure hunting remains a matter of encounters.
Leave with an invoice
When you buy, ask for a detailed invoice: object description, period, materials, condition. It is your written record — and the reflex of a serious dealer. A last-minute question should be settled before closing the deal, never after.
Your rights for distance purchases
If you buy without travelling (dispatch or delivery), the law protects you: 14 days after receipt to change your mind, without giving a reason (only the return shipping costs remain your responsibility). The object goes back in its original condition within 30 days, and you are refunded within 30 days. In a shop or at a car boot sale, however, this period does not apply.

OuChiner, simply a link
Our job stops at the introduction: we present you the dealer, that's all. The sale, payment and delivery are settled directly with them. OuChiner takes no commission and does not intervene in the transaction; any dispute is therefore settled between you and the dealer (see legal notice).
Frequently asked questions
Are the object photos retouched by AI?
No. The charter prohibits images generated or retouched by artificial intelligence for items for sale. Only real photos taken by the dealer are accepted, and an automatic visual check filters out fabricated images.
How can I tell if an object is authentic?
Listed dealers are second-hand professionals (antique dealers, secondhand dealers, vintage clothing shops, consignment shops) required to honestly describe the origin and condition of their objects. Copies, counterfeits and the sale of prohibited items are forbidden.
What can I do if content does not respect the charter?
You can report it: we examine every report and may remove an object or a repeat-offending dealer. Details on the Moderation and reporting page.
Can I withdraw after a purchase?
For a distance purchase (with delivery), yes: you have 14 days after receipt to withdraw without justification, the object having to be returned in its original condition, with a refund within 30 days. A purchase made in a shop or at a car boot sale does not grant this right. The sale is made directly with the dealer: OuChiner takes no commission and does not intervene in the transaction.
