1. Where the content in the Feed Chiner comes from

The Feed Chiner (the 🔦 button on the map) shows the public Instagram posts of OuChiner's dealers — antique dealers, second-hand dealers, vintage clothing shops, Emmaus and other second-hand businesses — whose full listing is active and who have entered their Instagram account in their dealer area. No hashtag is needed: their latest posts appear automatically. A dealer who does not want to appear in it unticks "Show my Instagram posts in the Feed Chiner" in their dealer area.

Only posts less than 30 days old are picked up, 20 at most per dealer, and an automatic visual check leaves out those that do not show an object.

OuChiner reads these posts through Meta's official API (Business Discovery). They stay published on Instagram; OuChiner keeps a reduced copy for display (35 days at most) and, if a user writes to the dealer about a post, a copy attached to the conversation.

2. Why there is a reporting system

The dealers are professionals and the content comes from Instagram, which has its own moderation. But nobody at OuChiner reads each post before it appears: the only prior check is the automatic visual check described above. If you see content that seems inappropriate to you, you can report it in one click.

3. How to report content

From the app or the website

On every post in the Feed Chiner, a 🚩 Report button appears at the top right of the dealer information area. Clicking it opens a reporting form where you choose a reason:

Once submitted, the post disappears from your feed straight away, on this device. It is hidden for all users from the first report if it is illegal, sexual, violent or discriminatory content, and otherwise as soon as a second person reports it. We review every report and may hide the post for everyone, or restore it.

4. Our review times

We review serious content (illegal, sexual, violent or discriminatory) within 24 working hours; it is hidden for everyone as soon as it is reported. Other reports are reviewed within 7 days. During and after the review:

6. Removal of a repeat-offending dealer

If a dealer is the subject of repeated reports found to be justified, OuChiner may remove them from the Feed Chiner, without notice and without refunding their full-listing subscription; their listing stays published. This measure protects the platform's users.

7. Reporting directly to Instagram

You can also report the post directly on Instagram, with its "Report" button. If it is removed there, it also disappears from our feed within 24 hours at most: we regularly re-read the dealers' posts.
